During December I was involved in the organising of a lantern parade, this is the first year of the event in Shepton Mallet and it has been a huge success. We ran workshops in 3 local schools plus withthe scouts and three Saturday workshops in an empty shop in the centre of Shepton. Using willow and tissue paper we made over 200 lanterns with adults getting very creative and working on large designs from jelly fish to giant dancing dolls. The parade bopped to the sound of the Bath Samba band from the bandstand in the park down the high street to the Market Square where there were refreshments, food and more music.
