Willow Great Crested Newt – Basingstoke

It was a glorious day working in a conservation meadow with children and their parents.  The Making (Basingstoke) organised these free workshops at The Vyne (Basingstoke) and I was one of two artists working on the estate that day.  As the day progressed so did the willow newt!

A great week of weaving ‘deer on the lawn’ at Downs School.  I worked with years 4, 5, 6 and 7 over two and a half days, we wove our own frames for the animals and the pupils were responsible for thinking about proportion and shape whilst concentrating on weaving for strength.
